Lovely Garden -park:

Lovely Garden -park, Garden In Detail, Well-organized GardenSalzburg has as its main set piece in the palace-park field the lovely garden -park ^chloss Mirabell, with superlative flower gardens. This palace, once a sum-ner retreat of the prince-prelates, was badly bombed during the war but las been faithfully rebuilt. The garden-park around it has a minuscule open-air theater, still occasionally used, that dates from Mozart's time. A small rustic park lies back of the Mirabell ensemble, and in a tiny house here, close to the river, Mozart wrote The Magic Flute.

A further word is needed about the Kalemegdan complex, for it is really wonderful. The citadel's southern glacis, rising 200 feet or more from the Sava's banks, serves as base for an exceptionally lovely garden -park garden-park affording a magnificent view of the two rivers and the country beyond them.

See Also Garden In Detail:

Apart from these structural uses of shape, a garden is kept alive and interesting through its detail, by the constant interplay between neighboring plants. USE VERTICAL structures walls, fences, screens, gateways, arbors, and garden buildings and horizontal structures drives, paths, patios, and steps sensitively, as certain shapes and materials relate to one another while others do not. For a successful garden design you should use the vertical and horizontal together in a pleasing and harmonious way, to create a unified whole. Try to achieve a balance between both planes: for example an arch will complement a straight pathway, and so will a low Wall built around a patio.

FOR AN ACCURATE, working scale drawing, measure your garden in detail. Enter these measurements on a couple of preliminary sketch plans first, before using them to produce the scale drawing.

On The Other Hand See Well-organized Garden:

Climbers fulfil an essential part in the furnishing of a well-organized garden and can even play a dominant role in determining its character. It is quite possible, even in the very limited space of a small city yard, to create an air of jungle-like profusion by the lavish use of some vigorous climbing plants.

New York's St. Patrick's Cathedral has, at least on one occasion, organized a two-plane pilgrimage to Knock, and Bishop Cushing of Boston has led 400 New England pilgrims to the revered shrine. From May to October, organized pilgrimages are made every Sunday; and on Assumption Day, August 15, an Ireland-wide private pilgrimage occurs, for the purpose of keeping vigil at the shrine.
